Hah! Didn’t think it too Pavlovian UNTIL the escalator bit and the store aisle. Outstanding.
It spoke to me actually of a sort of kindness and consideration as a way to cope with life shoulder to shoulder with SO MANY PEOPLE coming and going at once.
and that right there is what i loved so much about nyc when i lived there.
