it occurs to me some may be wondering about the new URL or why their feed no longer shows old posts. it is because mediatemple supposedly had some cluster failure which only hit a small ”isolated” group…of which i was one. so my blog got entirely wiped out. they still havent even answered why, they dont even know it happened. starting over here.
luckily i keep backups of the themes i create or tweak of course, so i had a copy, tho it wasnt totally up to date. whatever, close enough.
the RSS feed should be the same, you dont need to do anything or change anything, i already did. for the three or four people who have this blog linked :) you may want to update your blogrolls.
as far as losing entries, well, i think i have them imported to the database, just need to figure out how to merge the two, altho…this is so new i may be able to just replace it and paste in these recent entries. but you know what i dont really care. i never felt this writing would last forever anyway!
i do think i’ll try to bring back some old entries, if not all. i’m sure one or two are worth keeping available. just about time, time time…what to do with it? restoring old entries seems a low priority when life moves by you so swiftly…
